The designID team was tasked with designing and renovating a hair salon in Messolonghi that was already operational but needed a complete overhaul. From a typical men's grooming space, a completely transformed and aesthetically unique environment was created, one that stands out in the city for both its owner's services and its overall visual appeal.
During the design process, three key zones were developed: The first zone is the waiting area, the second is the main area where men's haircuts are carried out, and the third is the hair-washing area. At the end of this corridor, an opening leads to the salon's storage space. These zones are laid out sequentially along the right side of the salon, while on the left side near the entrance, an elongated stand for tablet placement and mobile phone charging, a display stand for products on sale, and a reception counter are situated.
The selection of materials aimed to create a space that was both impressive and warm. Shades of olive, brown, and rust dominate the color palette, complemented by wallpaper with vintage patterns that add a touch of sophistication, warmth, and coziness.
To enhance this ambiance, a modern tile was chosen for the floor, and the furniture features iron details. A divider between the waiting area and the rest of the salon combines wood and iron. On the ceiling, varnished wooden blinds were installed, with warm lighting placed between them, creating an inviting atmosphere. The result is visually striking and welcoming, receiving excellent feedback from visitors.
