DesignID designed a kitchen for a family of four, which seamlessly integrates with an adjacent office space that, in the future, can accommodate a guest on the pull-out sofa included in the design. The primary requirement for this kitchen was ample storage space, which was addressed by positioning a window along the kitchen counter. The entire vertical space from the bottom of the window to the ceiling was utilized for additional storage, optimizing the available area.
The kitchen is designed as a combination of two sections: a compact area housing the refrigerator and electric oven, and a less compact section incorporating the window opening. Both sections make full use of the available space along the entire length of the walls.
To enhance the kitchen’s functionality, an island was added, precisely sized to fit well within the kitchen layout and positioned at an ideal distance from the office space. The materials selected for the kitchen include MDF with a lacquer finish and MDF with a glaze, both of which contribute to a sense of purity and brightness throughout the space.
For the office area, a structure made of iron in a subtle bronze finish was designed. This element is intentionally discreet, blending seamlessly into the environment, while still addressing all the functional needs of the office space.
